The last of the Canada Flowers



The Blue Flag Iris replaced the Madonna Lily as Quebec's provincial flower in 1999.
It blooms in the spring in swamps, forested wetlands, and along stream banks and shores.

The White Trillium blooms in late April and Early May and was made the provincial flower of Ontario in 1937.
It starts out white but as it gets old it begins to turn pink.  After it blooms, berries form.
It grows in forests and woodland areas.

The Purple Saxifrage is a perennial ground cover, and was made the provincial flower of Nunavut in 1999.
This low growing alpine plant flowers right after the snow melts and has cup shaped blooms and small silvery leaves.

Oh Robin! They are BEAUTIFUL!! I like the Blue Flag Iris best, but that is because blue (and especially that blue ;-)) is my favourite colour...
